Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SmSA): 2018-19 to 2021-22
Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan is an overarching programme for school education, extending from pre-school to class 12. Its goal is to improve school effectiveness, which is measured in terms of equal opportunities for schooling and equitable learning outcomes. SmSA subsumes three earlier programmes, namely Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Teacher Education (TE). It was implemented in 2018.
